Amoxil is antibiotic medication which is used to fight a wide range of bacteria that cause different typesof infections. This medicine works by preventing the bacteria from forming cell walls which are necessary for them to grow and develop.

Amoxil is used to treat such conditions as ear infections, sore throat, pneumonia, sinusitis, and some other infections. In combination with other medications Amoxil is used to treat H. pylori infections.

The usual dose of Amoxil that is prescribed for the treatment of the infections of ear, throat, nose, skin, or urinary tract is 250 mg every 8 hours.

• This medication should not be used in people with such conditions as infectious mononucleosis, lymphoid leukaemia, or cytomegalovirus as it may cause a rash .

• If such reactions as bruising, skin rash,fever, itching, pain in joints, swollen lymph nodes, and sores on the genitals are observed, seek medical attention. In this case your medical provider might advise you to discontinue the treatment with this medication.
• Notify your medical provider if you have ever experienced such conditions as asthma, diabetes, colitis or kidney or liver disorders.
• The overdose of Amoxil can bring the following symptoms: muscle spasms, weakness, pain, cramps, numbness of fingers or toes, confusion, seizures, and even coma . One should seek medical help immediately if the overdose occurs.
